Tsholo is a multiple award-winning producer, one of her productions “Farewell Ella Bella” (2018) was screened in cinemas in SA as well as at global film festivals. Tsholo is an industry expert with her wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with co-production applications, compliance, finance models and requirement for the film tax incentives offered by the Department of Trade and Industry Film(DTI) Incentives, the National Film and Video Foundation’s (NFVF) and KwaZulu Natal Film Commission.
She began her television career in 1999, with Awfully Nice Productions, on Dali Tambo’s People of the South show that premiered on SABC2, thereafter she was approached by Southern Streams to become a Producer and Researcher. In 2002 she joined loveLife TV Unit. Tsholo produced long-running series, S’camtogb-GroundBreakers, “One Love” and “Future Positive”, amongst others, as well as, loveLife Games, a youth sports show. In January 2005, she joined Born Free Media Producing long-running drama shows, feature documentaries and feature films. Some of her shows include five seasons of 90 Plein Street, Noah Ark 4-part drama series, many Public Service Announcements for African Broadcast Media Partnership, Sobukwe A Great Soul and Nelson Mandela the Myth and Me documentaries. She became a director of BFM in 2009 and formed FWF in 2013. Tsholo’s love of training of young people to enter the industry is key in her approach to her work. She has a powerful ability to nurture new talent with her producing skills. Tsholo received her BA in Dramatic Arts, the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) in 1996.
