In 2025, Judi Nwokedi was invited to attend the “Africa. Together into the Future” Festival of African Culture and Film in Moscow by producer Olga Akatieva. Judi was originally nominated for this invitation by Lidia Matveeva, a communications and PR professional working with the festival and production team, who reached out to me from Moscow to assist with the production. The festival, held from October 15–19, 2025, showcased a vibrant program of African cinema and cultural events. Her invitation came in recognition of my prior work assisting the production of the feature film Moya Afrika (My Africa) during its filming in South Africa.  During the South African production, they collaborated closely with Judi Nwokedi, Executive Chair of Free Women Films. During the festival Judi participated in a series of workshops and panel discussions on South African film at a leading film school in Moscow, sharing insights into the South African film industry and fostering cultural exchange. In recognition of Judi’s contributions, Olga Akatieva awarded Judi a Producer credit on the film.
