Judi Nwokedi serve as the Business Lead for the Film, Heritage, Tourism, and Culture workstream within the South Africa-Saudi Arabia Bilateral Business Council. In this capacity, her role was to open opportunities for film and tourism between our two countries, fostering partnerships that drive investment, collaboration, and cultural exchange. The Council, which was relaunched to strengthen commercial and economic ties between South Africa and Saudi Arabia, identifies tourism, entertainment, and leisure as one of five key priority sectors for collaboration . Her workstream actively curates and shapes the narrative that showcases South Africa’s excellence in the film and tourism space, positioning the country as a premier destination for international productions and travelers alike. South Africa is globally recognised as a leading filming destination, offering diverse locations, competitive production costs, and world-class infrastructure . Through strategic engagement with Saudi stakeholders, Judi worked to unlock new avenues for co-production, investment, and tourism promotion. By sharing insights on destination marketing through film and highlighting South Africa’s rich cultural heritage, she aim sto build sustainable bridges between our creative industries and tourism sectors, creating mutual economic and cultural benefits for both nations.
